Bhumi is a modern-tech roleplaying region, with a focus on realism in demographic, economic, and military statistics. As a result of our focus on realism, it is encouraged that you don't use non-human races or creatures for your nation, as it breaks the immersion for many people. If you want to create a non-human population, please check it through with the administration first.
The population of your nation in the roleplay is 10% of your nationstates population. This means if you have a population of two billion, you will have a population of two hundred million in the roleplay. This keeps populations at a realistic level, as well as slowing the rate of population growth to more reasonable levels. You can also choose to have less people in your nation than this, however you cannot have more than 10% of your nationstates population.
Your nation's statistics should be calculated using the calculator at http://www.broomdces.com/nseconomy/, which calculates a very thorough and comprehensive list of your nation's demographics, economy, crime, military, etc. based on your nationstates stats. Just remember to divide all population numbers and dollar amounts by 10%, with the exception of GDP per Capita and Average Annual Income figures. This way there is a fair and unbiased standardization between nations based on your nationstates stats, instead of leaving it entirely up to the individual to create their own (and possibly unrealistic or over-generous) national statistics.
Before posting elsewhere on the site, please post the following statement under a new topic in this forum:

I understand that the World Presidium respects the sovereign rights of nations in Bhumi and will not interfere or impede on my nation's right to self-determination. I shall become a proud and active member of the community, and strive to improve the quality of this region for the betterment of all member nations.

You are also encouraged to add more information about yourself, your nation, your leader, or whatever else you see fit to add to your introduction. This part is completely optional, however it will help establish your presence in the region right off the bat!
After you have posted your introduction, you should head over to the map and claim a spot for your nation. You can't participate in the roleplay until you have an approved map claim, as people should at least know where your nation is located before engaging with it. When your map claim has been approved, even if the map itself has not been updated yet, you are now free to jump into the roleplay.
